Staff Exit Survey™
What it is
The Staff Exit Survey™ is a short ‘leavers’ questionnaire that provides an analysis of the impact of a variety of reasons for leaving and the respondents' views on the performance of the organization. It is based on the theories of Herzberg, Maslow and McClelland and provides key information about why people are leaving the organisation so that corrective actions can be taken to reduce staff turnover.
What it does
The survey requires staff to rank their satisfaction with each item, as well as whether they would have liked less, the same, or more of that item. The report gives an analysis of the reasons for leaving as well as the current organisational climate as viewed by the exiting staff member. As an added value, the reporting also offers suggestions for remedial actions for all items that are reported as "critical".
Why it is unique
The Survey is simple to administer and takes approximately 10-15 minutes to complete. As a pulse survey, the reporting will show trends so that both the numbers of exiting staff, their reasons for leaving, and changes in the perception of organisational climate issues can be tracked over time.
