Allan Miller offers over twenty years
expertise in managing change in high technology environments from
both a corporate management perspective and that of an independent
consultant. His academic background is in Law with a bias towards
the employment and contractual aspects, combined with a broad Human
Resources career in successful U.S. and European corporations challenged
with leading and coping with significant change.
As from July 2000, Allan has embarked on career
as an independent consultant offering his clients support and services
in Leadership Programmes, Team development, Business Facilitation,
Executive Coaching/Mentorship, and Behavioural Workshop Interventions.
Prior to this, Allan built a successful generalist
Human Resources career with Philips Electronics and a pioneering
specialist career with the Oracle Corporation U.K. in management
and organisational development. At Oracle, as Head of Human Resource
Development he designed and delivered the infrastructure for organisational,
team and personal development during a time of rapid corporate growth
and the transformation to an Internet organisation. Whilst at Philips,
he played senior roles at management team level in a diverse range
of businesses including Medical Electronics, Business Systems, White
Goods and Defence.
Allan's passions focus on facilitating and enabling
people to identify their potential and to seek to realise it through
pursuit of their individuality in values, attitudes and beliefs.
He offers a range of intervention techniques, including psychometrics,
experiential learning, development centres and change management
expertise.
Examples of his work include leading the sales
management team of a world renowned airline from a subordinate function
within a niche industry player to a lead function for a global business;
to provide executive coaching and mentorship programmes to the top
talent identified in the organisation's executive readiness programme
for a leading Software Company; to revive and revitalise a corporation's
performance management system as a catalyst for change within an
international insurance group.
His style and approach has been described as
direct and incisive, seasoned with genuine curiosity, versatility,
understatement and good humour. He is able to win the confidence
and trust of others at all levels with his confidence, competence,
and grace.
Allan is motivated by challenge and change, and
